Once Gaza is turned over to the PA, some wonder if al Qaeda will make Gaza a new base of operations. Remember al Qaeda's announcment of their new-found interest and presence in Gaza. al Qaeda with a port and common border with fragile Egypt, Zawahiri's home country?

• Abbas wants SecState Rice to pressure Israel to withdraw from the Raffah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt. Again...a new sea port and an open Egyptian border with the proven security track record of the PA in 'control' of both...not a good idea...but who are we to criticize?
